    Tidewater Revisited

Tremendous amount of option trading by insiders "100%". I suspect this is seen as an ominous sign. It has been ongoing for some time, not just last 2 weeks. This may not be ominous but it certainly implies they think they can't get more later at a higher price.

    • This is a very good company and a well-kept secret,
it seems. I've bought and sold it, but on average
have been accumulating. It's a considerable portion
of my investments these days. I've been able to
get some good pricing on what I hold.

TDW is tied to oil and oil prices, no doubt, but
it also is tied more fundamentally to offshore
rig and platform count. It is my view, that while oil will
fluctuate in price, the need to go farther and
farther offshore to find oil will be ever increasing,
and will be an increasing share of the oil exploration
      pie.

These guys run a good operaton and manage their
money well. I don't think you can wrong with this
one. I wish the share price would stabalize, but
that is a problem with Wall Street, not this
company. Over time they will realize there is a
constant and growing need for TDW's services and
quit knee-jerking on every bit of oil news.
