Their is simply no more growth left! Auctions are in decline. Stores are in Competition with Amazon and many other venues.
The high fees that sellers have to dish out are the main reason that many reputable sellers have left.
Sellers have discovered that their is life elsewhere.
Who needs mandatory Paypal??
No one can just open a account and start selling on ebay.... no way!
To many rules to navigate.... who needs it.... Ebay University anybody.... notice you don't hear much about that anymore....It took a few years for management to figure it out.
Outside of Paypal, growth at ebay is somewhat stagnant.... expect more of the same for the remainder of the year. The second quarter will witness another wave of sellers leaving for alternate sites.... this will not bode well for the stock price.
ebay has long history of censorship
if it is not there it did not exist
it has been a proven method for ebay pr
it all started when they deleted all forum posts when hackers compromised thousands of ebay user accounts and posted fake auctions
deleted posts about paypal hacking
deleted posts about vulnerabilities on ebay site
deleted posts about SPECIFICS of any fraud on the site, including sale of fakes makes it more difficult to retroactively prove such fraud exists/existed
The list just goes on an on!

PayPal is just a slush fund, wonder how many users know that.
Ebay is purposely driving off individual sellers. They'd like them to be gone right now except they need the fees to keep wall street happy.
You never hear the least amount concern from eBay because their individual sellers are declining.
That's weird eBay Marketplaces grew at a nice clip per the earning report, did you miss that? Things are picking up now in the economy it will pick-up on eBay too.
Earnings report -- with the credibility being what it is that report might be something like the 'load' they are trying to shove at their power sellers regarding the 'non-increase' in fees.

That is weird!....it must be the economy.....no doubt the economy will pick up.....sometime! What portion of the company will they sell next quarter?.....That is weird.... Amazon has explosive growth and the stock price is way up! hmmm!... why does Amazon have record sales....Ebays stock price has been very low and is in retreat again..... what could it be! Hmmm! Ebay is now giving away free listings.....something they have not done on a regular basis since they were founded.....what could it be......?? It can't be the new final value fees that are being jacked up in a month or so.....
Could someone.... please point out why these two companies are going in different directions.... At this point i have no clue???
Uncle Grief just succeeded in alienating a good chunk of the community. Looks ugly. Very ugly.
