I have purchased many high-end, used, designer shirts from EBay. Hilfiger, Bahama etc. 50% of the time, all I'm buying is a cheap knock-off shirt, very nicely counterfeited by some really clever people. The label looks perfect, so good in fact, you can't tell the difference from the real McCoy. It's ridiculous and you might say "it's not Ebay's fault" yet Ebay charges and collects a final value fee for counterfeit selling on their website...RIGHT. They are profiting along with the counterfeiters....RIGHT. EBay is a party to fraud...RIGHT. I would encourage law enforcement authorities in every state in the Union to investigate and prosecute Ebay for fraud. JP Morgan paid 13 Billion....I'd say Ebay is good for 5 Billion.
While I agree with you, I have to wonder why on earth anybody would buy clothing on eBay? Oh, ok, the cheap price.. Ever ask yourself, why is this shirt I'm buying less than half the price at the department store ?
Then again, Hilfiger and Tommy Bahama... not exactly high-end.
