Yeah, advertising on eBay would be great!!! That's all we need to get participants to jump ship. That site is slow enough as it is without all of those java enabled consoles popping up everytime you view an auction. They need to do something about their poor speed before they even consider this dumb idea.
Hmmm... interesting to see that EBAY doesn't have any advertising on their website... not a single one. If EBAY actually has over 761,000 items for auction right now, posting one ad on each and charging $1/day would give EBAY an extra $22,000,000+ in revenues each MONTH. Granted it's only a measly $22 million dollars, but it beats nothing.
be able to short EBAY on October 25th. That will be the day after the great sell-off will occur. October 24th marks the thirty day waiting period for the holders of the stock certificates purchased in the primary market for $18/share. Unfortunately, after the sell-off occurs, there may be nothing left to short. I'm looking on the bright side, after the sell-off, this will probably be a great time to go long...and who knows, maybe the market will perk-up by then!!!
