    NEW YORK
(CBS.MW) -- Digital Century Hedge Fund Manager Rajiv
Chaudhri generated returns of 89 percent after fees and
expenses last year and 46 percent this year and continues
to see opportunities in the tech sector.

    Chaudhri continues
to hold Intel (INTC: news, msgs) and Microsoft
(MSFT: news, msgs) in the $200 million fund, he said in
    an interview with Barron's.

    The fund manager
compares his method with that of Warren Buffett, saying he
likes to buy and hold leading technology stocks for
    long periods.

The fund uses leverage and short
positions to boost its performance. Chaudhri is focussed on
25 to 30 stocks, he told the magazine.

Chaudhri says a few large companies will grow to dominate
virtually every sector as the Web develops.

    Chaudhri
says Intel's computer chips are going to continue to
dominate mircroprocessor platforms, although it will grow
harder and harder for hardware makers to grow at
    historical rates.

    He also believes subscriptions will
become more important sources of revenue than
advertising dollars for companies on the Web.

    He likes
online auction site eBay because it has so few operating
costs and doesn't have to maintain inventory, yet it
makes money on every transaction that occurs. (EBAY:
news, msgs). Chaudhri told Barron's eBay could trade at
300 up from its current price of about 175. It also
represents a real threat to traditional auction houses
Sotheby's (BID: news, msgs) and Christie's, he
    says.
