re this to
EBAY's figures for this same period and for future
quarters. For Q1 this figure was $541,000,000 for EBAY.
Where are Yahoo's auction numbers? Will Amazon tell us
how much they sold on Wednesday or is that a company
secret like when they plan to turn a profit?
This past weekend I was in Barnes & Nobles and I
saw Meg not on 1 not on 2 but 3 magazine covers??
Why????? They are toughting her as one of the best CEO's.
What has she really done for Ebay??????? Ebay was a
successful company before she came aboard April98. She has
done nothing for the company in the last several
months except go on TV and apologize for site
outages......in return she has been awarded options in excess of
1 billion.....I think it's about time shareholders
tell her to start earning her options. But then again
what do I care because I don't own any of this
CRAP!!!!!!! But just a thought.........
We have heard from some on this board that the
old rules don't apply to internet stocks. For the
last few months, various newcomers have asked: How do
you justify the P/E? What barriers are there to
competition? How can anyone project the enormous long term
growth required to justify what, at the time, was a
10,000 P/E? Some "experts" here replied that we mortal
men just didn't understand the new dynamic, which
rendered all market history invalid. They issued strong
"buys" at 170 to 185. Well, most of those gifted
prognosticators (who assured us a fall below 170 was IMPOSSIBLE)
are long gone from this board. What they told us back
at 180+ was, in other words, THERE ARE NO RULES,
which means we are watching a horse race. This market's
behavior appears to be dictated by the emotions of many
individual investors, the majority of whom have no idea what
they are doing or who have no long term interest in
the Company or both. Somehow, somewhere, value must
be established by some analysis, and that doesn't
mean a chart of nine months of irrational activity. I
wonder what the charters had to say about PRST, which
lost 90%+ in share price. Sooner or later, some solid
indication of real value has to come into play, and that
time might be upon us now.
Anyone see the early earning forecast. I hope
theyre right this time and theyve been right
My personal guess was a little different from what
theyre predicting but Ill take it none the
Supposedly this information whispers they call it comes
from insiders and others in the know.
look and tell me if you agree
