Forget MRO's buyback--what I wouldn't give for $100,000 lying around so that _I_ could buyback ~2000 odd more shares! Far from scaring me, these prices are driving me crazy with buy fever! Next time we have a bull market, I'm selling half of my portfolio and waiting for the next bear market (5-7 years, maybe?).
i think they should use the 3.3 billion in cash they have to buy back shares. ya they would be "levering up" the balance sheet in this bad market, but come on the shares are DIRT cheap. its trading at 7x earnings, half the market. that means earnings could halve and itd still be simply fairily valued. yet it has less chance of earnings decline than the market which is loaded with financials with junk on their balance sheets. why is this thing tanking like a housing stock?
