I'm pretty sure that public companies have Blackout Periods which can occur before and/or after their earnings release. It usually prevents its directors and specific "insider" employees from buying or selling the company's stock.
Yeah I was trying to figure that one out also. I cannot think of why they would be in a blackout period right now. Maybe if they were in talks with big pharma however I doubt that at this point. That would haver been a good follow up question at the latest CC when they mentioned it.
