    • this asset might not be for you if you cant handle the swings. the swings create great opportunities but fear for people who don't know what they hold and are overexposed by excess shares on margin or what they consider too much money in one asset.

probably a good idea to do more research on the company, the technology its implementing in its drugs and reevaluating your portfolio allocations.

regardless of what anybody believes this is a very high risk asset so take that in consideration also. good luck.

    • plenty of short term traders are making money on IMUC. I would do it too but knowing me I'd time it wrong so I'm just sticking with my position and adding to it when the price drops. A drop after the interim results was expected. Always happens after a run up and then news comes out. No news is expected on the phase II now until at least Dec so we could see more selling as people get nervous waiting it out. Then again news on other pipelines could cause a spike and then also anything below $2 usually causes some buying. The long term story hasn't changed. The stock will boom or bust depending on the trial results and there is no way to know ahead of time how things are going, despite the theoretical stats analysis posted . Not to say I don't appreciate the analysis, it provides theory is all we have at this point. Of course the longer it goes without hearing anything the more positive we can become.

      Sentiment: Buy

    • if you are not prepared to lose half your gamble on this stock then take your chips off the table and move on.

there is no reason. the question you need to be asking is what are the "tells" of a succefull PII trial.

    • Honestly, if you are not comfortable with stocks going down, you should not be in the market, consider another investment.

Stocks go up and down all the time, for no apparent reason.

    • It was dumped from the Russell 2k because the market value was lower. That triggered automatic selling from all of the indexes. The good news is that if it goes back above the line next year, it results in automatic buying no matter how much the stock is forced up.

    • My opinion...interim results were released later than expected, resulting in short term traders leaving the stock after a recent run-up. The later than anticipated event attainment for interim review will likely lead to a delay in final outcomes of the trial, thus producing little interest from short-term traders expecting significant run-ups. I feel this reason is flawed due to 1) continuation of the trial (if it was producing bad results it would not have been allowed to continue), 2) a potential for new information on other drugs/projects in the pipeline, 3) release of information on a potential partnership or take-over. Also, it appears to be that many developing cancer vaccines have been thrown into the same bucket and compared to Dendreon and failed cancer vaccines of the past with respect to trial and stock performance. This is inappropriate IMO as this vaccine is demonstrating fantastic results and is a different entity with an easier manufacturing process. Time will tell.

This is exactly true, and is the reason that even firm believers like me have reduced their position for the time being. I agree with almost every statement you made except that I don't think a takeover bid or buyout is at all likely. PI are the only official results in the book, and scant few co.'s have ever been taken over even after PII results. Add to that, your point about DNDN and stem cell therapies in general, gives "the street" even more pause. There has been downward pressure (subsiding) from the R2K selling, and there will be news from the other trials but it's safe to say "the" results won't happen til past EOY. In the meantime, there are other good biotec's with shorter-period news cycles that will make quicker $ so I can buy back more IMUC. The money I got from selling into the interim was used to buy NVAX - which I sold Tuesday, netting me lots of future IMUC shares - and a mortgage payment or two. glta
