Can anyone explain "size" for me pls?

    Hi,
On my real time quote screen, there are
    several collumns, namingly:
    "Last", "Bid", "Ask"
    "Size(1)"...."Size(2)", "Hi"..

On the first "Size", it is a number
    such as 100 , 200, or 1000 ...

    On the second
"Size", it is numbers such as
    "10 X 50". I was told
that the first number (10) on this collumn multiply by
100 is equal to the number of shares someones want to
purchase at Ask price. The second number (50) multiply by
100 is equal to the number of shares someones want to
    sell at Bid price.

    Can anyone confirm or denny
this theory for me please? and also what does the
    first Size collumn mean please?

    Thank you.
