    Something To Be Thankful For

POT has to be among the worst performing stocks within the past 12-18 months and this is true with the DOW now just shy of its all time high. Now just imagine if the DOW dropped 25%-50% in a major correction.

    • A DOW sell off is probably coming, but what do I know.

      • With the DOW now having reached its all time high, I notice that no only are we getting no traction today but the drift has been to the downside. We might even wind up in the red before the day is out. It is pretty obvious that this is not where investors want to be at the moment. And so whether the major market averages are heading up or down, the bias against the AG stocks remains. When all this will abate is anybody's guess. I suppose if POT were to suddenly announce that it had sold so much potash that not only did the North American distributors no longer have any inventory but that POT was now obliged to put customers on allocation for the rest of the year, the stock would probably perk up but short of that, I don't see anything near term which is likely to cause the stock to take off. Truth be told, I don't blame anybody for not wanting to sit with the stock the way I do. There is money to be made out there, just not here.

    • Maybe investors will start looking for shares which have been left behind like POT?
