John, what kind of a defensive play is a stock which is down 7 of the last 8 trading sessions? I may hold the stock forever but I can't recommend it to anyone until we see fundamental market moves indicating that POT is actually going to sell a great deal of what they are producing. These days, I think POT is a stock ideally suited for those who are gluttons for punishment. Notwithstanding all the preceding, negative observations, when POT gets its yield up to 4%, that should shake things up for the better even in the absence of anything else positive.
As a dedicated multiyear holder of many shares, I'd only recommend this stock to masochists and people I'd like to see suffer. Not only has POT proved absolutely impervious to one of the great all-time market runs, it's actually lost significant ground. Hard to believe this thing with the concrete footwear used to be the hottest offering on the board.
