    Belarus extends welcome to Russians

Belarus has thru one of its principal Directors made friendly overtures to the Russians who are now huddled in a meeting deciding whether to play ball or exercise stricter demands on Belarus.

In any case, the new partnership/cartel will be more strict and transparent to memebers of the syndicate. The too Govt .has been very active in the negotiations with Belarus.

    • You think so? I would look at volume before I started high fiving. Volume is #$%$ out. Means small time bargain hunters and gamblers coming in, not big time long term accumulators. Company buy back should be completed at this point. China's economy calls for skinnier Chinese over next two years. Inventory is 30% higher than norm. Looks bad long term, and basically, volume is telling you all that. The *only* thing propping this stock up the last few weeks is the dividend.

    • Global business leaders tend not to "self destruct" very often. This whole fiasco was over before it begun and any of the fools getting whipsawed by the market movements in the wake of this dump and pump operation deserves to lose money. Divvy over 4%, massive stock buyback ongoing, Canpotex business unchanged, North American potash prices remain at or near $400/tonne, business as usual. Global demand likely between 54T to 56T give or take, so even if Uralkali is at maximum capacity, they will be able to produce another 1.5T, and it would probably get absorbed quickly by the Indians and Chinese. Brazil is the biggest growth market for POT and North America is where they do most of their business. The extra 1% supply from Uralkali, if they can even deliver on their production promises, is not going to amount to a hill of beans, or potash for that matter. Besides, the Russian cartel will be back working together sometime in the next few months to a year anyway, this was all just a non-event, another bogus hit on sentiment to crash the ferts so insiders could buy more. BHP did it, China did it, now the Russians are at the same script, and each time the foolish market falls for it, hook line and sinker. LOL

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Ah, nothing like the smell of potash in the morning. A couple of posters called today's event and I have to commend them for their foresight. Glad me bought more POT. Lol.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
