So why no testimonials included in Acherman presentation?

I would think the true evidence that this is a ponzi scheme would be if he talked to a few distributors and market leaders and they told him that they were duped and didn't actually sell any real product. But he had not one eyewitness testimony to what he claims to be the larget pyramid scheme in the world. Not one!

I'm thinking that in this poor economy there are millions of people world wide looking to make an extra few hundred bucks a month. And they have legitimate chance of doing this by selling Herbalife part time. That is the market. I don't really think that many people get into it thinking they are going to be rich. But i'm not expert. If achman had included some testimonials or done some research as to the motivations of those entering the program, we would know! But he didn't, why? I thought of this in 1 min, i can't believe Achman didn't try to find the smoking gun of real life people who were burned. If nobody is getting burned, i don't think you can call a $4 billion company a ponzi.

    • The flaw in Bill Achmans logic is that herbalife is not a get rich scheme for the vast percentage of people participating if any. That is why he has no eyewitness accounts of the participants. It is a way to earn a little extra income in a tough economy. It is tough for a billionaire hedge fund manager to relate to this. But when an extra $200/month in potential income is the difference in making rent or not, and you get to be your own boss, many people give it a try. Like most part time jobs, most don't stick with it. Same as with paper routes ect. Achman calls these people as having failed. I don't think its failure, they just chose to move on to something else? The investment is like $59 or something initially to test the waters. That is super low risk.
