Is there a possibility of a tender offer for hlf by monday morning? Any thoughts on whether carl icahn was hinting at this?

    • I doubt it. Icahn may come out and say he is attempting to buy a large stake in HLF or that he has already. That would shoot this stock up another $10 or so. I think the real pressure is going to come from within Ackman's investment fund. I believe his investors are getting a little scared right now, now that he is nearing his entry point. People forget Ackman is not under water yet and wont be until the low to mid 50's by my additions.. I believe $50 is the magic number. Once we hit $50 he may see a huge exit from his investment firm by big clients. The bottom line is a proud Jewish man llike Icahn will not let himself be embarressed like they tried to do on CNBC. I will promise you this he will try to destroy Ackman now and I think it will all begin next week.. Stay tuned!! again, jmho

    • Hell yea he was hinting. He brought it up two or three times, kinda out of the blue. Personally I don't think it's going to happen as Icahn would never show his cards. But he's def. a part of this in some way, otherwise he wouldn't of wasted his time. It's personal for Icahn and now it may have just become one of his last missions in life - Destroy Ackman.

He's 76 years old and personal net worth 14 Billion dollars. He's not going to live forever and does he need to take all 14 Billion to the grave with him? I could see him spending half of it on HLF in whatever manner, just to ensure he fcks Ackman and will be smiling on his death bed. Hlf could easily be partially or bought out completely for 6 Billion.

That would be the coolest thing ever. All of Ackman's work, and money down the drain :)

      Icahn, Icahn, Icahn...

      • You forget that Icahn is cold and calculated. You dont fume like that at his age, its merely a show. Its simply idiotic for him to make a tender offer. I suspect that he has a small position and would stick to that. I do understand that there's a huge credibility issue for both of them and they both would not want to look like jokers if they lose this bet. Ackman, ofcourse would get wiped out. The big thing going for Icahn may be his $100 profit on NFLX within 4 months (I dont remember the exact day he got in). That success could make him arrogant/stupid and talk thru his #$%$ But nonetheless, he would not take upon himself to trigger a squeeze. Yes indeed, this plot gets more complicated by the day. We can only look to Cramer for that duma$$ light comedy.
