As you watch this market for years and years you think you've seen it all. Even the NFLX pop was not surprising but couldnt have guess that of course. But this HLF drama is very very unique and I guess everybody knows what I'm talking about. Today looked like a bottom but we need to wait and see for couple of days. I still feel there is a possibility it pulls back again to 34 tomorrow...lets see. I'm disappointed that HLF started buyback in the 40s, wish they had done it here. Anyways, dont think they retired too many shares, maybe 2 mil max. All I can say is its fun watching this from the sidelines. Yes, I may get an ulcer if this triggers a short squeeze after earnings but what can u do?
You mean retail shorts have been conned, if I happen to hold 3000 shares at a value of $38 a share and this company keeps producing great quarters, great numbers, awesome growing and gets clear by the FTC SEC etc etc eventually the share price will move higher and shorts will have to cover. Indeed short term shorts and day traders will make money but in the long run those holding strong will get highly rewarded.
