As far as share holders are concerned, you are right, in Herbalife Books a sale to distributers would be recorded as sale to consumer because the product cannot be returned.
From what I have read they lure lot of novice people inot buying this thing in hopes of making some money out of it and have it as a carrier. But like any other business only a few succeed and most of them fail getting stuck with 1000's of dollars of merchandize which either sits in the garage or gets sold @ pennis to a dollar on craigslist.
My sister once got scammed in one of these schemes (not with herbalife). Bought over $5000 worth of stuff, couldnt sell it. Glad it was cosmetics, she ended up using herself and gave as gifts to her friends.
So In my opinion, they are selling stuff alright, but by luring innocent people into buying their product in hopes of selling it and later getting stuck with it. I dont think its a good way to do business
there is a big difference if you buy $4000 of the product to sell, and end up using $300 of the product
and the rest sits in your garage, remember 90% of new distributors drop out, and only a small
percentage made most of the money.
the product is over price, if you want to buy the product buy it from e bay, amazon,
why become a distributer no need to pay shipping and handling.
I think if you start a business (any business) , you do not sit and wait for the customers to come to you.You need to get "busy" with it. if you want the product to sell itself, you are not cut for that kind of business.
