The earnings report could MOVE the stock either way. Honestly, it has been pretty boring here for some time. I continue to collect option premium but at some point, I like to see some action.
Back to earnings. If weak, the stock will take a beating. How much? Anybody's guess but I think it will not be catastrophic. 10% down, let's say. $4 movement.
Now, if earnings are strong, it will ELIMINATE the remaining pillar of the short thesis - i.e., the negative publicity will drive away potential distributors. The impact will be significant. Immediately after earnings, the movement will likely be 10%, similar to above. $4 movement. Quickly, the shorts will realize what is happening and the ultimate MOASS will take shape. Let's hope so.
Do you seriously think there is a chance of HLF missing earnings after they just RAISED guidance? The only question that remains is how much they beat by. People who think otherwise are not paying attention. April is the month for the fireworks.
