Motley Fool trying to pump this stock

They own shares of this company and are losing big. So what is their solution? they are pumping the stock with articles minimizing the damage, when the truth is that nobody knows yet what is the extent of the damage.

I hate these pseudo journalists. :(

    • You bring up a good point. There's absolutely no law preventing media rags from owning stock, but I thought they had to disclose that fact, as the authors of Seeking Alpha do.

There's so much uncertainty in this stock now. The chart was weak before the material news yesterday, so the AG business was not going well.

My theory about yesterday's trading is a hedge fund went short, took it down to where they thought was support, and then gradually covered all the way back up.

Now I think it grinds lower from here, on lower volume. Just my opinion.

      • They do say it in the article:

"Despite Speed Bumps, This Company Is a Buy"

If you read the italic letters just above the comments you will see there that it says that the Motley Fool owns shares of LXU.

These people a total scumbags and they argue that the insurance will cover for all the damages and everything will be solved. Clearly these people live in wonderland if they think that an insurance company is just going to bend over and give the company all the money the are requesting. The insurance company is going to make as long an investigation as possible and will try to pay as little as possible too.

One other thing, the company says that it doesn't THINK there was any environmental damage. Think being the operative word here. the fact is that there is no way they could have truly assesed the damage in a few hours, so obviously they are going to say that. However, there is a possibility that something like that could have happened.

Therefore recommending people to buy this stock is truly irresponsible, in my opinion.
