I have been surprised but happy that the move up this year has been steady, and on good volume, but not huge volume. In checking the 18 month chart, I saw 3 days that the volume was much higher than normal, with it being around 900,000 on 2 of the days and 1.3 million on the other one. All 3 days resulted in a huge spike in price intra day, buta big drop by days end. I am sure you old timers recall those days. As I am sureyou guys also prefer the current way we have moved up, does any one think we may see a day soon when we get another huge volume day of over a million shares traded? Also, for you guys that are well versed in tocks, what caused those 3 days of huge volume and volatility?

Mo, I am not one of those guy's that are well versed in stocks but I would like to offer up my opinion. Buyer's of large blocks of stock, whether they be large individual purchaser's, mutual funds, other pharma's or what have you are typically sophisticated buyer's and make purchase moves based upon the same criteria. So it is normal that several might purchase in the same time frame. The one thing they all have in common is , they see an opportunity to make money. When large block's of stock are purchased the s.p. normally goes up,creating a sell signal for a whole different group and creating the volatility that you are talking about. Of course, there are other variables that play a part. Nothing is as simple as the explanation. JMO
