    ANOTHER LIE FROM ORACLE'S LARRY...

by saying that the PSFT customer protection programs are gimmicks to help psft sales in Q2.

How ironically? If Oracle's Larry does not want to give psft customers guarantees and support with their Psft products now, who will believe he will continue to do so after the deal. If I remember correctly, Larry promised everyone that he will continue to support psft customers for anther 10+ years after the deal...Is Larry changing his mind again and do not want to support psft customers afterall?

Larry is putting another foot in his mouth again...A Liar will always remain a liar.

Larry also said he doesn't know if he will increase the $19.50 bid but want to pay as little as possible, of course blaming his decision on the Psft BOD... Only a fool will believe Larry is giving psft stockholders a good deal. Larry is no fool and will not give psft stockholder a cent more if he could has his way, even at $16.50...Larry is a CHEAP LIAR.

    • Larry should not pay a penny more than PSFT's value. Larry has to think about his own shareholders too. As a ORCL shareholder, I would not go any further. Lets play the game in the market and lets see who wins. If PSFT can make it , more power to them. PSFT aquiring a dinosaur would not make it any better than what it is right now. There is no doubt that ORCL and SAP would make PSFT's life harder. PSFT management should come to their senses. Two together make sense! If ORCL walks away, PSFT will be heading for low teens. Any trouble to meet the numbers would bring the severe punishment. Good luck!

This is the kind of statement which does not make the slightest bit of sense to me. Arguing whether or not a combined Oracle/Peoplesoft is a sensible and beneficial move from a strategy standpoint is one thing. However, claiming that Peoplesoft's stock price would decline if the BOD does not accept Oracle's offer is irrelevant. A company's long term strategy does not depend upon short term changes in their stock price.
