Can someone please explain what is keeping the Nasdaq OMX from trading higher?
Can someone fill me in a with a summary of what is keeping Nasdaq OMX from trading much higher than it currently is? I haven't been following the company much and now I'm interested in it. Is it BATS? Is it competition from NYX? Is it the current state of the economy? Or exchanges just not doing so well Lately? Or is it all of the above? And I read someone's posting that the CME should buy out Nasdaq OMX-Is this legitimate or just someone's withful thinking? Thank you.
I have not yet started my position. I think the market might move a lower so I'm holding off right now. But one of the reasons I'm looking at NDAQ is that it's still reasonably valued as compared to other stocks which have really taken off from their yearly lows. Since NDAQ has not gone up like the other stocks have.
NDAQ will probably go higher when GS wants it to. A GS analyst has a $21 top on this stock. If you own or manage a hedge fund or mutual fund, do you want to take a large position in this stock if you have to take on GS? I recommend Bob take part of his huge salary and send it to the GS analyst for an upgrade to $40.
s and p has a tgt of 25....just keep trying to decide whether I should sell this thing..owned it for a long time....bought more around 20 months ago...if its only going to 25 or even 21 gs tgt...damn could have put it into other stocks...tempted to sell it and put it into fslr today
