I have been on the fence with buying KMR for a lower price. Does anyone know what this will do to the price short term? Would buying at the opening bell be too risky for this type of announcement or do people see KMRs price going north fast?
Getting out my handy calculator, it seems like the buyout calculation for KMR is: about $36.12 per KMI share, at 2.4849 KMI shares for each KMR share. So, it seems to me, if the price of KMI goes up (say, if Wall Street likes this deal) then I would think that the buyout would be worth even more than $89.75 per share to KMR holders. Someone check me on this if this does not seem right? Would it be correct, that for every dollar above $36.12 per share of KMI, the value of the buyout would rise by $2.48 above that $89.75 figure?
