Now we can understand MWE's Semple's remark in the CC that, " Mariner East can take other products than ethane, too". With Sunoco's big Philadelphia refinery and two others nearby closing MWE can just pump propane into the Mariner East pipeline to Philadelphia and let Sunoco handle the disribution from there as it does already. The other neat thing is that EPD collects NGLs all over the SW and brings it to Mont Belvieu,TX, where the propane is split out and sent to New England in the TEPPCO pipeline that goes right past MWE's Houston(PA) plant. There is NO way that Texas produced propane can be shipped to New England and beat Pennsylvania produced propane on price. MWE has got a captive propane market absolutely wired. It also explains why MWE/EMG can't get the Harrison 100,000 barrel/day fractionator built fast enough. You just know that the Utica/Marcellus infrastructure is being worked on 7 days/week. The mild winter weather this year is helping a lot,too..and you can bet that the Ohio,WV,and PA state governments are playing ball as well.
