Arb, What will be the knock-on effects on propane retailers such as NRGY, SPH and others in the Eastern U.S. who will soon be purchasing from a new source as Sunoco and the other refiners get out of the business and EPD raises prices? Will the retailers propane costs decline enough to make a difference in their business model?
I know some say propane will be supplanted by nat gas, but I doubt it. Unless you're talking whole subdivisions, infrastructure costs are too high to make the conversion economic. ITM, propane retailers share prices have suffered, making distribution rates even more attractive.
