If they stop growing they stop increasing the distributions and the units will not go up in price. They are currently in the process of building 10 or more processing plants with more coming that have not been disclosed yet. Did you read the earnings call transcript from 2/29/2012 and the latest Investor Presentation of March 7 2012. If you haven't done so, I would suggest you do. You will have a better understanding of what MWE is doing and what you own. Yes, every 8-12 weeks is extreme, but obviously necessary in managements eyes. In mid 2008 MWE borrowed a large sum just before the financial crisis meltdown when there was no financing available. There was a lot of uninformed bellyaching on this message board complaining that they paid too high a rate of interest. They followed this up with making the MarkWest Liberty JV in the Marcellus. These two events carried MWE through the crises meltdown that brought other stronger bigger companies to their knees. By the way MWE continued to pay the distribution every quarter through the darkest hours
I consider this a buying dip for those that are interested.
