1. Halcon released a report on their Phillips well in Mercer and their Allam well in Venango PA. The gas BTU is around 1250. Earlier I had read a report that the Mercer well had 1330 btu. Volume was 6.6 mcf/day on the Allam well. They gave some fairly impressive pro forma ngl numbers assuming stripping of the wet gas.
2. From what I read earlier in the week the Utica shale in Ohio has very light volatile oil. The company's have to install condensate stabilizers on site before they can move the gas liquids into the pipeline. I hope this will not add hugely to the transportation process.
3. Shell continues their drilling activities in NW PA. With all the drilling they are doing in WPA I look for them to enter the top ranks of the State's gas producers.
Thanks that is a good article. They are still optimistic on the oil window. I suspect there is a lot of experimenting going on. I have hope for the oil window in Southern Ohio. Things get too shallow in NE Ohio.
