    • Excellent Question! I'm going with Number 3..."Other" ...IMO "other" here means, " We at MWE and our producer customers are growing so fast that we have to do something with all the natural gas liquids we are producing, and WE CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU SHELL TAKING THE FIVE YEARS REQUIRED TO BUILD A GRASSROOTS CRACKER!" If She'll really wanted this cracker IMO it would be halfway completed by now...I think that Shell chickened out when EPD reversed ATEX and NOVA accelerated its' conversion to ethane. NOVA is already building a major.,40% expansion of its' low density polyethylene plant taking ethylene from the ethane cracker and is talking about building another cracker. The other loser is SLX...Sunoco Logistics should have announced an immediate, massive 400,000 barrel/day pipeline to Marcus Hook AND A JV WITH MWE TO BUILD FRACTIONATION FACILITIES AT MARCUS HOOK. ...Marcus Hook is going to be minor league after this....OTHER LOSERS ARE EPD AND TARGA. A BIG NEW FRACTIONATION COMPETITOR IS COMING TO THE GULF COAST. AND TO THINK THAT KINDER MORGAN IS GOING TO PARTNER WITH MARKWEST IN THIS SIZE JV IS MAGNIFICENT. IF THIS DOESN'T SCORE INVESTMENT GRADE FOR MWE NOTHING WILL!!

      • Hach The situation with SXL is diversity. They have alot of projects to start and complete. My feeling is that ETE new structure with ETP is paramount and therefore SXL is not #1 with ETE. It makes me feel that one day in not to distant future SXL will be merged with ETP. Shell for whatever their reason just wants the fracking technology for Brazil Europe and such. They can only be a player if they buy somebody in marcellus or utica.

      • You perhaps could also assume a bombshell in the Bluegrass project also that being KMP Tenn route is shorter and at greater line pipe diameters. That would go for ATEX also.

Not so sure on SXL impact side of the issue. Believe SXL noted this afternoon that it intends to spend 700 million at Marcus Hook this year and MWE noted Mariner East is important for export, that includes truck and yes rail. I would not be surprised if SXL would perhaps lay a new larger diameter line from Delmont to Philly area. Last qrt. there was some hint that current line may not be sufficient in the long term. However Buckeye many get a little deal happy here also as their ROW is pretty much in line with SXL's going to Philly. Another option is a new crude line to east coast refiners.

I also believe that Shell cracker is unlikely. The only other option is to buy a E&P outfit out, but don't think that will happen. RRC has great intrinsic value and would command a huge offer. As a RRC shareholder, I would say no to Shell or anyone else. Having that said, I would suspect after the past couple of years with greater than expected liquids growth, there is a lot more than what a few E&P outfits have been promoting.

Still longer than ever on MWE and still continue to accumulate.

mwe going big time with this jv.
however ngls ready to go soon and there will be room for both of these plants.
u dont think ngls and targa expected to have this area all to themselves.
imho both will prosper the days of monopolies are over.
there will be plenty for both.
as for sxl u r right they r the eventual losers here.
today u need superior management and move quickly.
kmp and mwe have both of these in bulk.
