I bought 200 shares of CCBG on 7-8-08. It's doing OK so far. Up over 20%. CCBG may just avoid the problems that other financials are having, being small and conservative. A small wager. I also switched all our Fidelity Mutual and Bond Index Funds into a Money Market at that time.
I bailed out too. Sold all but our shares in the DRIP/DP account. Went from 145% return to 86% return and I've had enough. For the first time in years we own no financials except (I think) 39+ shares in CCBG. Sold Regions (Amsouth), and 1 other one in Puerto Rico. Looks like the time for making money in financials is over for the time being.
