I came across the subject of behavioral finance a couple of years back while reading some academic articles on the Morningstar website. That led me to a website at www.undiscoveredmanagers.com that has an entire reference library on the subject. Many of the research papers are written by Cal-Berkley and U of Chicago types. It's not light reading and much of it is arcane. Some of the papers on the detrimental effects of over-confidence/fear and excessive trading on long-term investment performance though are enlightening.
FWIW, Undiscovered Managers has some direct/indirect relationship to a family of mutual funds supposedly managed per BF theory. I offer NO opinion on the funds; I just didn't want you to be put-off if you go there and see the fund info.
