I was pondering this post when I read about Sky's change of heart on Torrid. Geez...what am I doing?
On 2-7 I sold 10% of my position at 25. I sold another 5% on 2-8 at 25.625 and another 20% 2-9 at 26.625. While I'm considering another sale at about 30 if I'm so lucky, I have every intention of holding onto 50% of my position (a core if you will). FWIW, that 50% is still quite substantial on my balance sheet. These are shares I've owned since about 10'99 with a cost of $8.
Why? We've had quite a recent run folks. I'm convinced there's a good likelihood HOTT will retrace it's steps back to the lower 20's or the 200 dma whichever comes first (Yes, Ed, I know my left brain is throwing it's weight around so I asked the right side to check it out). With some luck, I'll be reestabishing my full position in that neighborhood. Too often I've watched an investment rise like this only to ride it back to earth. I'm thinking that maybe for once I can beat Mr. Market at his own game. We'll see.
And besides, I want to be just like Mr. O when I grow up :-)...
Quite a chuckle at the end of your post. Congrats to all longs. Looks like it's only you, I, an Vega jumping out just when the 'market' judges Hott is deserving of a much higher PE than it has had for YEARS.
However, I am being patient - will be back, sooner I hope, than later.
PS: lots of new, intelligent posters. Welcome aboard! Hope you stick around awhile!
