    • Steve you know as well as I do that this whole game could go either way in the blink of an eye. I honestly don't think things are anywhere near as good as they let on thus I have taken almost everything off the table in favor of bullion and the money market. I think Amr may go a bit higher depending on how whether the big boys want to keep supporting it. I am very uneasy with the current financial climate especially at Amr which has been running in the red for over seven years. Gerrald and the board have done a great job keeping this afloat but it will be entirely out of their hands if the economy and especially the dollar continues its spiral downwards. The saving grace I feel is to return to the gold backed dollar which gives our monetary system solid footing. You see Steve as goes the dollar and the economy so goes Amr. Who is our biggest asset? The customer and if the customer can't afford our product even as good as it is we will be consummed as has other great airlines of the past. If you are a F/A for real that is great my wife is and am very proud of her profession. In my past work role I have been in contact with many wonderful people who choose that work role and have remained confidents. Remember we may fly the plane but it takes many different skills and job categories to make that even possible. In other words its a team, sadly only the ones that are visable are remembered by our benefactors the public. Yes it will go further down and yes sixteen or seventeen or even lower may become a reality. Remember the big boys protect their cash and if it starts to really fall they would be foolish not to have stops in place.

    • You are correct! But havent you noticed that the corrections occuring here are more numerous at the same stages of the game? Check the chart and see!

    • Corrections are a fact of life in the market. It is what makes money for you and me. But predicting them is another thing. THey are always coming and going.

    • Will close at $23 +

    • Steve,

You stated in your prior posts, the FY2008 earning would be in the neighborhood of $5. With a conversavative P/E of 8, this potentially is a $40 stock.

Why would you want to short at $29-32? If you are a trader with small positions, I would imagine your are going to be agile but did you not say you are managing some large fund for the family? Your statements are not adding up. Why would you take that kind of risk? If you wanna gamble, take some postion at FNET tomorrow (long or short).

Plus, manage your expecation! This thing is not gonna shoooot up to the moon in one shot. There would be some up and down though AMR definitely is on the uptrend.

just my humble opinion of course.

Get in Get out Sit on Cash.

      GM

    • As I outlined in my message yesterday, I thought we'd touch 26 today...didn't miss by much. Anyway, at the bell I took my NOV 22.5 and 25.0 calls off the table and banked a nice return. Will reload with Nov 25 or 30's soon Wish the postal contract info had been released at noon today!!!Lots of money to be made in the next 29 days!!!Go AA....
