Apollo Education (APOL), down 7% after a mixed second quarter report and disclosing that its University of Phoenix subsidiary received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Education seeking documents related to, among other things, marketing, recruitment, enrollment and financial aid processing. from yhe fly on the wall
It is highly recommended that DOE sends subpoena to all institutions for higher education for profit for their marketing of programs, ripping off the taxpayers, and the shoddy delivery of their instruction. The U.S. Congress should revisit this sector of the economy and make it more accountable and transparent to the stakeholders.
