company admitting to very poor performance in the Spotfire business on the call
not that prior quarters were much better from this heavily promoted "future growth engine" ...seemingly the company has problems to get its house in order with the next major product line restructuring now kicking in
however the rest of the business performed quite good, billings were the best for the last few quarters and guidance came in in-line with estimates despites the problems with the Spotfire business unit
would remain on the sidelines here given the continuing execution issues at the company level
still thinking the company should be sold rather sooner than later as revenue growth remains anemic
agree with your perspective. Spotfire should be selling and growing like Tableau. Its not, which is not indicative of the tool, but of the organization's ability to market it and sell it to the right industry verticals.
