Professional extermination is too expensive for the average person ... especially since it takes several treatments and bugs may come back anyway. When people find out they have bed bugs in their home, they are more likely to throw their furniture out and move. Hotels and apts. will need professional treatments, but they normally want contracts with lower margins and they will upgrade their own maintenance with steam, alcohol, borax, barriers, etc. Mattress stocks are so, so as investments ... all the supposed "bed bug plays" are overrated.
For the quarter just reported, reveue related to bed bugs was only $4 million, which surprised because i expected it to be a lot higher given the hype.
It also tells you that there are a lot of mo and pop exterminators out there as well. No telling the overall increase in business as a whole but it appears it's getting spread out evenly amongst the companies.

You forgot to add that its cold outside, the dog is sick, my mama doesn't love me anymore, my girlfriend ran off with my buddy's girlfriend, doo dah day... Geeze man! Get a grip! The last I heard, ROL does have a sales department. Stop whining!
How many homeowners in this economic environment can pack up and sell their homes?....The real estate market is barely alive and your telling me that people are going to sell their houses --- and what take a huge financial hit????
