"Retail giant Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) has plans to introduce Esio Beverage System, a more reasonable line of brewers at its stores. Going by reports, the price per serving is expected to be much lower than the average cost of Keurigs K-Cups, which range from 60 cents to 90 cents each. "
GMCR will have a rough and tumble year but will survive and continue to be a prominent player in the single serve and coffee roasting arena. Look to scoop up shares under 25 late in Q4 and early 2013.
The people who shop at Walmart don't have enough money to buy a Keurig or ANY other type of single serve machine. They'll continue to buy their cheap Folgers in a massive can, and make it in their 5 year old $10 drip machine, while wearing their $3 XXXXXL tank top and $1 soiled underwear.
So how does Walmart affect GMCR? It doesn't.
