K-Cup patent expires 9/17/2012, K-Cup revenue to be snuffed out
There are plenty of premium coffee producers who they do not have agreements with, and even the few that they do will abandon those agreement when they have the opportunity to leavea out the GMCR middleman. Not a good time to be long on GMCR. If you are in love with this stock look to average down in the 20's.
So you believe that GMCR is selling K-Cups to SBUX at cost? Do you really think it would be difficult for a huge American company to manufacture K-Cups in Mexico for a lot less than GMCR's manufacturing costs in Vermont? Sounds like you're getting your Kool Aide in a K-Cup. This is not a complex manufacturing process we are talking about.
