    The 585 is closer to $400 and compares to the Vue which is less than $250. Starbuck's pods cost slightly more or the same as GMCR's pods. What it comes down to is which coffee you like better and which one has the best distribution network.

    One of the reason Keurig sales fell off is the introduction of the new Vue, people were not purchasing the old model as they were waiting for the new one. Just like the iphone.

      Good point on the comparison but I would have to disagree with your assessment of the sales falling for old brewers. Your point here would be valid if the Vue sales were in keeping with the drop off in old brewers, but they are not. Additionally, since the launch of the Vue, sales for this brewer have declined each 4 week period along with old brewers. This is a YOY reading from TGT, WMT, BBBY.

        I would not expect the new Vue to keep up with sales with the introduction of other brewers. But you have to factor in the large number of old Kuerig in the market now plus the new ones sold to get a handle on the demand for the pods. GMCR has a huge advantage on pod sales and will maintain the best distribution network.
