    INTERESTING FACTS!

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the federal government to "put away,"
you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which party took Social Security from an independent fund and put it in the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic-controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which party put a tax on Social Security?
    A: The Democratic party.

Q: Which party increased the tax on Social Security?
A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

Q: Which party decided to give money to immigrants?
A: That's right, immigrants moved into this country and at 65 got SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid a dime into it.

Then, after doing all this, the Democrats turn around and tell you the Republicans want to take your Social Security.

And the worst part about it is, people believe it!

    • "I don't know which party is right to fight terrorism" Sure you do! The Dems won't, havn't and will leave to corrupt American hating UN. I think most rational people know that "America" is safer for us being over there! Appeasement has only gotten Spain, UN and France Attacked!

    • Unfortunately the Dems answer is appeasement and do nothing. Thats only an invitation for more terrorism.

    • Q: Which party could change all this any time they want?
A: The one that is in power at any particular time.

Q: Why doesn't the present administration do it?
      A: Good question.

Q: How can we find out?
A: Try asking their rich buddies that ended up with most of the money from the last tax cut.

    • Its interesting to pit one side against the other when the facts are it doesn't matter WHO is running this country. Fact: Corporations used to account for 65 to 70 percent of all government taxes. Today its less then 17 percent. We spend more today on corporate welfare then on human welfare. We allow corporations to dictate government policy and even control key cabinet positions. I could go on and on but you just wont get it.

As for which of the two is less evil thats easy, the Democrats. This administration has turned back 30 years of environmental gains (guess you really don't need clean air/water/etc..), gone after anyone and any nation that dared to disagree with it, made a blatant lie to america and congress in order to go to war with Iraq. Had a manifesto developed by Rumsfeld,Cheney, and Wolfowitz that was followed the day Bush took office (desire to reshape middle east by attacking Iraq). During supposed huge surpluses Bush campaigned to give back that money to the rich. AFter huge deficits, stuck with same policy but called it a tax stimulus. Curruption rampant (Enron and Lay which controlled the Governments energy policy (caused Calif.energy crisis). revealed a CIA operative because of whisleblowing. Bush is hated by more people around the world then Saddam ever was. We are talking about central european countriues, niot muslim ones.

Bottom line: You will only vote him out when YOUR pockets are picked. It will be very soon. Mark my words. This market will collapse way before the election. Even a "timely" capture of Al quada's top people will not save this joke-of-a-president.
