A lot of things can be fatal for people with any cronic illness. My neighbor dropped dead running across the street and was only a coffee drinker. A guy I went to school with apparently thought once you opened a fifth of bourbon you had to finish it or it would go bad. Ended up finishing him off. Warnings on the beverages cans suggest limiting consumption to certain levels if you are healthy and not to consume the product if have medical problems. Caffine levels per ounce of product approximate that of coffee and are less than some of the stuff they serve in coffee houses. With all of the other things that are actually associated with the deaths of people (smoking, drinking to excess, drug use, general violence in our society), I find it puzzling that there are so many continued attacks on these products.
if caffiene was that bad I would have died 6 years ago. We had free energy drinks and drank 6 a day. Now maybe eating and looking like a WHALERUS by shopping at WALMART for CORN DOGS and 5 GALLON TUBS of ICE CREAM maybe worse? lol
High caffeine - exactly how much is high for this study. 500 Units, 1,000Units, 20,000 Units (whoops, probably fatal if all 20,000 taken at one time). A 12 ounce energy drink contains 120, less than found in coffee shop coffee. Just like it used to be with artificial sweetners, to have a harmful effect you had to consume ungodly amounts over a number of days to possibly be affected.
