I am so frustrated with this stock. I researched and did my DD, looked at all the numbers carefully, read the research reports, .... this thing should be at 65 easily.

The small investor has about as much chance at the crap tables in Vegas as they do investing in the markets today.

    • i have about ooooooh 15 or so..

feel free to take into account i have (and those with)2cars, 2boats, couple of handhelds and a gps100, have u heard of that model ?

Point is, feel free to account for multipule users, past updating customers and also feel free to borrow one of mine next time your in australia, where by the way GARMIN is on top of PND's and admmitting its tuff chipes in marine, though not for to much longer, avaiation in australia speaks for itself, its just all garmin.

Cheers, and good night over there.

    • Do you know anyone that has bought a Garmin device?
      I don't.
The other product lines are not doing well (marine, aircraft) and competitors in the GPS line are hammering Garmin - the market knows sales will not keep up the pace, and margins are going to get clobbered.
Also, remember the law of big numbers.
Microsoft used to grow at 40 plus percent, when they were a 10 billion company.
Now at 90 billion, how much do they have to sell to grow 40%. The market sees that concept in Garmin.
The market is perfect - the challenge is making the correct judgements.

      Good luck.

      • I bought a NUVI 660 this year, a 61 inch Samsung DLP TV for our family room and a 42 inch plasma for our bedroom. If I had to get rid of one of them I think the DLP would have to go. My wife could watch TV in the bedroom but she would nver let go of the NUVI. So now, if you don't know anyone that owns a Garmin, you have at least heard from someone that does.

      • "Do you know anyone that has bought a Garmin device?
        I don't."

That statement seems to undermine your whole theory of big numbers for Garmin as there must be plenty of untapped growth out there if only a very
small number of people have bought.

      • Garmin has a way of making you feel like it is underperforming when it is not. I have bought on the dips for about 10 months now and have very nice gains....I have about 10 purchases and none are negative.....some are up over 20% despite this weeks drop....add on dips. I am.

Remember, we were within pennies of an all-time-high a few days will only take a few days to get back there....Like Edison said, this market slump is perfect for closing the gap we got up on earnings......

      • "Do you know anyone that has bought a Garmin device?
        I don't."

Brilliant..!!!!!!! you are saying, that despite the $611,000,000 in revenue and record PNDs sold...Gamrin has not even bugun to penetrate the market????

BTW- Our disgustingly conservative management has called for a recovery in Aviation and Marine this year....and 50% automotive growth......which will be closer to 100%.

Have you seen the million dollar Mustangs that Cessna cannot make fast enough..???..they have $130,000 Garmin G1000's aboard.....(and Cessna is one of 5 making the new light jets)...Aviation will provide a lot of juice this yor DD buddy....

      • hnpr: I have nothing against shorts.
        But stop spreading misinformation.
Last year we projected Garmin would make $2 in 2006
        and $3 in 2007.
They actually came in at $2.35 for 2006.

    • You said you did all the research. Did you dectect red flags? If you say no, that's unrealistic. Sometimes one red flag can kill the entire stock performance.

But don't be panic, uptrend is still undergoing. It has to stay above 34 if you are an investor(weekly chart).

    • You used the term "Investing". If you are a true investor in Garmin you will be fine. Just be patient. I dont know if anyone here can really convince us of what causes the day to day action in Garmin but long term this technology will be a winner and garmin is the top dog.

    • jmbartels: I hear yah. Hang in there and buy on dips (below 50).
Don't worry, it won't go much below 50.
After this correction is over, GRMN will break to new highs.
Then you can sell those shares and survive the next downturn.
But if you look at the graph, GRMN has consistently been
making higher lows and higher highs.
Its both a growth stock and a value stock.
