Garmin is definitely done. Net sales only rose 23%, earnings only went up 21.4% year over year (Q2 07 to Q2 08) in a down market. Everyone knows that in a down market good companies ought to be thriving (oh wait, I think a recession means the opposite, i'll have to go check that with CNBC).
With their 0 debt and such terrible sales and profit growth Garmin will never make it until the economy recovers!
Media is trash. In down markets everything is terrible as far as the eye can see. In good markets everything is wonderful as far as the eye can see. In both markets the media has short vision. They are merely reporting on events already taking place. Anybody can do that. If they really knew anything, why didn't they say something yesterday.
