The Virb action camera is receiving rave reviews all around. The GO camera has the buzz and market now, but Garmin has a better product and is breathing down their neck. Mark my words, this is a huge market, and Garmin has the horses to make it a blockbuster. They do need however to bring some marketing flair and aggressiveness to the race, as GO really is hyped-up by the early adaptors. Some early deep discounting would help hugely, as the buyers are mostly kids with little money and are very price sensitive. This is a complex product category, requiring a huge investment and effort, but could exceed the car nav market, has an effective moat, and Garmin has their foot planted firmly in the door.
