Trudef attractive to the major studios to deliver movies in 4K resolution onto the theater screen
From another message board:
"My understanding is that TMMI is currently working with the higher end of the production, post production side of the industry that doesn't use H264 and won't be using H265 as part of their work flow.
What makes Trudef compelling is that it is visually loss-less from the raw image file thereby making Trudef attractive to the major studios to deliver movies in 4K resolution onto the theater screen. In essence we are talking about a whole different market in the evolution of Trudef's codec. TMMI is just coming out of the gate right now and I think it is looking for the major production houses to use Trudef at the point of shoot through to the movie house to start with."
