"If GED is taken over would not HKN be very likely to sell and convert the shares to a lot more cash than they show share value today? "
For new investors, All the Cash that HKN has on their Balance Sheet came from selling Global shares approx 3 years ago. If HKN gets a Very Good offer, HKN would gladly sell all its Global shares.
For years HKN operations has contributed very little Cash to HKN. HKN is now almost nothing but an investmest company. HKN spends very little on Capital Expenditure on their Oil & Gas Exploration but allocated as High as $20 Million towards their investment venture.
HKN first venture into investment was IBA, Ltd which turned out to be a bust and was dissolved. Will HKN new foray into Energy and trading be more successful?
