Boeing has been silent for a long time about the Dreamliner. Does Boeing want us to forget about it? Has Boeing forgotten about it? I would be very happy if Boeing took the 787 out of the hanger for a stroll and some fresh air to find it is still alive.
It would be nice to get an update as to when the fix is expected to be completed by. But, mabey it would be best not to get another quoted date considering all the delays. When it finally flies, it flies...
With all the credibility lost by this management team there is no way they will announce a time table on anything. The only reason they didn't make the delay public in May was to keep our team in Paris looking like they were on the ball and knowledgeable. You have to admit Carson looked the part as he stated to the world that it would fly by the end of the month. How he kept his nose from poking interviewers in the eye is beyond me. Another slip of a deadline is unthinkable.
If Boeing can't create a schedule of work for the prototype of the 787 at this late date, then they really just don't know what they are doing. The monkey boys seem to be at a lose for words. They have said everything they could think of, and the truth probably won't work, it isn't anything anybody wants to hear much less say. But even I find it difficult to believe they can't get a prototype in the air. They should be able to do that. The big problems will be meeting cost and performance goals.
