    The 787 isn't the only thing that BA builds.

    Over time, hopfully sooner than later, the battery problem will be solved.
    Boeing has all hands on deck to find a solution.
    Was the battery selection the prime problem? If so the time table to correct this will take time. A long time.
    If the battery manufactuer was at fault, or the manufacturer of the charging system needs to make changes to the quick charge of these batteries, then the solution may be soon.
    I would be looking at the charging system.
    Why do I feel this is a problem?
    Because in all cases the problem showed up on the ramp or shortly after takeoff in all the other cases.
    The batteries were being super charged on the ground. The batteries at that time started to overheat or leak.
    I feel the quick check should be to monitor the electrical system bay prior to each takeoff by a trained technician.
    Remember that the 787 has been flying for a while now and these problems, although serious, has been few. JMHO
