Numerous problems have been reported, not only with the batteries but with the design. Composite plastics are not good for commercial airlines and BA new this and conceal the truth in the interest of the bottom line and at the expense of the public safety.

Yes. Especially considering that these have already been used on the 777-200, 777-300, 777ER, 777LR, 777F, 747-400, 747-8, 747-300, 767-200, 767-300, 767ER, 767F, 767-400, plus multiple 757 and 737 variants and a HOST of others.

I am not an engineer but I do trust BA's own engineer who was fired in 2007 for speaking out about the risks of composite plastics in commercial aviation.
