Lithium battery can never be safe enough" for the 787
Boeing will always have the fire hazard of the lithium battery hanging over their head. An accident related to one of these batteries will be a "killer". At some point BA will have to change to another type of battery. That will take much time and money.
My guess is that it will take 6 months to switch to a new battery, and get the 787 back on a normal schudule. In that time the stock will fall below 60, but will eventually recover into trhe mid 80's sometime early in 2014.
