After reading this only a "Fool" would go long Boeing

buy as we know a new fool is born everyday.

As recently as last week, Boeing executives said that they did not expect the worldwide grounding of their 787 Dreamliner fleet to directly affect revenues, or delay future deliveries of more than 800 of the jets currently on order. But in the face of growing evidence that the jet’s lithium-ion batteries will need a major overhaul, the company now says those bets are off. As in major 787 Dreamliner delays coming and could be as long as a year in mothballs.

    • Scary stuff for shareholders of this tarnished company. Boeing always seems to lie first, then back peddle as fast as they can when the you know what hits the fan. Now BA can't hide the real truth. The Dreamliner was rushed to delivery, yet company executives knew the aircraft had major electrical and battery problems way before the first customer starting flying the 787.

“We have informed our customers expecting 787 deliveries in the near term that those aircraft either have been or are at risk a major delay,” Boeing said in a statement released Friday morning.
